The STAR Foundation of Coastal Georgia will officially usher in the 2021 summer season with its inaugural pre-holiday weekend Low Country Boil fundraiser, STARgazing, on Thursday, May 27th from 5:30 – 8:30 pm at Village Creek Landing.
The evening of coastal, casual fun will feature music by Owen Plant, a low country boil and appetizers by Halyards, and a not-to-be-missed “Crazy Pants” contest for gentlemen guests, one of whom will be crowned STAR’s Crazy Pants Shrimp King.
“Like all charities, STAR missed holding its 2020 fall fundraiser last year due to the pandemic. When we saw how well COVID vaccinations were going in late March, we decided that the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend would be a great time for folks to venture out again for a great cause,” said STAR board chair Donna Davis. “We loved the idea so much that the board has opted to make it an annual event.”
Proceeds from STARgazing will benefit the STAR Foundation of Coastal Georgia’s educational and lifestyle-enriching programs for job readiness, computer, and financial literacy, and life skills. To purchase tickets visit https://starfoundation.org/donate/a-stargazing-low-country-boil-2021/
