If you haven’t heard of The Farmer and the Larder in downtown Brunswick, you’ve been asleep. Wake up! This beautiful restaurant is a working example of Brunswick and the Georgia Coastline. Fresh food. They are farmers, alchemists, oh and did we mention they have really good food?

After Thanksgiving, our students, staff, and board members were invited and welcomed by owners Matthew Raiford and Jovan Sage. Over lunch, Matthew and Jovan gave us a historical lesson on entrepreneurship and food in Brunswick and our students received great lessons about professionalism and work ethic in business and in the hospitality industry.
